Quarter-tone accidental

These are considered exact microtonal accidentals. The accidentals follow traditional notation rules. Courtesy accidentals are added throughout the piece given the difficulty and complexity reading them can involve.

They are executed by switching to a specific fingering/position. As shown in the image: -150 cents (-3/4 tone), -50 cents (-1/4 tone), +50 cents (+1/4 tone), +150 cents (+3/4 tone).
