Jet whistle

The Jet Whistle is a very loud sound similar to a brief, energetic glissando. This technique always includes the direction of the sound through a mini-glissando in the score.

It is produced by completely sealing the embouchure hole with the lips and blowing a fast, high-pressure stream of air through the flute. To achieve the pitch deviations, use the syllable "huuuu-eeee" for low to high, and "heeee-uuu" for high to low.
