Pick on metal

Pick on metal

Pick on metal is an extended technique associated with the piano.

This technique involves two notations: the use of a guitar pick and drawing it along the metal parts of the string hitch pins/frame. The result is a bright, metallic sound. A 1.5mm pick is recommended. If picking up a pick is not feasible due to speed, a fingernail can be used instead.

Only for the following instruments:Piano
