Pablo Andrés (1995)
Pablo Andrés (Alcalalí, 1995) studied Composition at the Conservatori Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo de València (2020-2024), with teachers including Marc Garcia Vitoria and Voro García. During his studies he did an Erasmus exchange at the Haute École de Musique de Genève-Neuchâtel (2022-2023), where he worked with Michael Jarrell, Luis Naón and Ariadna Alsina. He has premiered works at venues such as the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències de València and the Centre Cultural La Beneficència, as well as at the Haute École de Musique, where Just Breathe was presented. His piece Le cauchemar sonore was performed at the Festival Archipel in Geneva with an acousmonium of more than eighty speakers, and La nef des fous marked a key point in his output.
In 2024 he took part in the Académie Voix Nouvelles at the Fondation Royaumont, creating a collective opera under the supervision of Francesco Filidei, Sivan Eldar and Bernhard Lang. That same year he premiered Iso(lament), for percussion trio and multimedia, with support from the Institut Valencià de Cultura. His career has been enriched by classes and encounters with composers such as Hèctor Parra, Reiko Yamada, Agustí Charles, Gilbert Nouno and Olga Kokcharova. He has also taken part in festivals and events such as Mixtur, Archipel, Mostra Sonora, Rafelfestival and Ensems.
His work has been recognized with the Universidad de Granada's "Manuel de Falla" Prize for Musical Creation (2024) and with an SGAE grant to further his international studies. For the 2025-2026 season he has received commissions from the Fondation Royaumont and the Mostra Sonora Sueca. On the academic side, he has completed a Master's in Applied Sonology and Sound Creation and a Master's in Secondary Education Teaching at the Universitat de València, rounding out a profile that brings together artistic creation and teacher training.
