LH pizzicato

LH pizzicato

This technique involves plucking the string pizzicato with the left hand, without using the bow, producing a short, percussive sound. It is indicated with a "+" above each note.

It can be performed on an open string (the most common case) or on a stopped note, depending on the desired effect. On an open string, the usual approach is to let the string ring, since that is precisely the effect being sought.

Only for the following instruments:CelloDouble bassViolaViolin
