Nuria López García (2002) was born in Albacete and lives in San Sebastián. She completed higher studies in Composition and Guitar at Musikene, under the guidance of Gabriel Erkoreka and Marco Socías respectively. She is currently studying the Master's in Contemporary Music Creation at the same institution with Ramón Lazkano.
As a composer, her work has been recognized with the 4th Composition Prize of the Teatro de la Zarzuela (2025) and the V-G Musik Lab + Musikagileak Prize (2026) for her piece for band 'esculpir el aire'; and, as a performer, she received the Universidad de Granada's Manuel de Falla Prize (2026) for her debut album 'ÓRBITAS'. Her works have been performed by ensembles such as the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa (BOS), the Banda Municipal de Vitoria-Gasteiz and Ensemble Sinkro, and programmed at festivals and series such as Musikagileak, Bernaola Zikloa and Kuraia, among others.
Her compositional practice, strongly interdisciplinary in character, explores the boundaries between the sonic, the staged and the visual, with particular interest in sound spatialization, timbral experimentation and the alteration of the perception of time.
