New classical music-Clarinet solo
Written between September 2022 and June 2023, this piece unfolds a discourse built on virtual polyphony, both harmonically and formally.
Bressò takes its title from a blend of the words “So” (sound) and “Ressonància” (resonance), which curiously comes to resemble “Bressol”, meaning cradle song. That resemblance can be heard in the piece's funereal character, since it takes on the double meaning of life and death.
The piece was commissioned by DYCE – Discovering Young Composers of Europe 2022, in collaboration with the Taller Sonoro ensemble. It premiered on 11.06.23 in Seville, performed by Alba Francés Martínez.
